Comprehensive Care – We embrace the strong connection between oral health and overall systemic (whole body) health. We are very thorough in our approach to healthcare and we diagnose and explain everything that we see so our patients are well informed and can make educated healthcare decisions. We work very closely with dental specialists and other healthcare professionals to provide our patients with optimal care when it is needed.
Periodontal (Gum) Health – The gums are the foundation of your oral and systemic health. The link between periodontal disease and heart attack, stroke and diabetes has never been clearer so we make periodontal health a high priority in patient care. We can’t restore teeth without healthy gums. Dr. Henderson and her Dental Hygienist take cleanings and periodontal maintenance very seriously so we can help you stay healthy, not only your mouth, but your entire body.
Aesthetic Dentistry – Dr. Henderson has advanced training in cosmetic (aesthetic) dentistry from the University of Southern California, Las Vegas Institute for Cosmetic Dentistry, Frank Spear, DDS, John Kois, DDS and CEREC. She has an artist’s eye for the natural beauty of teeth and uses her exceptional clinical skills and knowledge of modern aesthetic materials. Dr. Henderson has not placed mercury-based dental fillings in over 15 years. “There are simply better materials now. The materials that I use are durable, quite often lasting far longer than dental amalgam, and with the advanced training that I have can be absolutely beautiful and look entirely natural” she states.
Sleep Apnea – Many people suffer from sleep apnea and can not tolerate traditional medical solutions such as C-PAP therapy. Dr. Henderson is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. With her specialized training, she may be able to provide a dental appliance solution for apnea. Apnea is a dangerous condition where the patient actually stops breathing while sleeping. A dentist is the only person licensed to place any type of appliance in a patient’s mouth.
Patient Education-It is our goal to educate our patients in all aspects of oral health. We use digital photography in additional to our digital x-rays supplement the education that we provide our patients. We want our patients to understand their needs, understand their options and make informed and educated decisions. We are always eager to answer questions.
